2022 Was A Successful Year!

An update on what we were able to do with your help. Special thanks goes out to all of our volunteers and board members. This is what your prayers, money and donations went for in 2022. You can be rest assured that your money and donations do not go toward inflated salaries. In fact, our executive director does not even get a salary. For over 6 years and going on 7 years, Edward and Christina have put in countless hours of time, sweat and tears for their community. Even when they felt like giving up, they kept at it. Thank you to all who have donated and helped so far. We are excited to have our thrift store to open to the public in the near future. Everything will be priced donation only. All monies will go back into the ministry to keep it open. In this thrift store, we hope to have some much desired items, like Amazon electronics, clothes, kitchen items, housewares and more.

2022 was an awesome year! Our Breakfast with Billy program served thousands of meals to the area homeless and low income families. All of this was possible because of you. Thank you. Our Warehouse Ministry, where we take in donations to offer the public, FREE clothing, housewares, and furniture to those in need was able to serve hundreds 0f people through this ministry. Thank you Connie Cornell for managing this ministry for us. She has put countless hours in, even using her own personal truck to pick up and deliver furniture. During our summer 6th Year Anniversary Service / Outreach, we gave out over hundreds of emergency food boxes to families in need, and during our annual Christmas Giveaway, we distributed new toys to hundreds from all around the community. We provided hotel rooms and Greyhound bus tickets to those in need.

For the 4th year in a row, we have operated an Emergency Winter Shelter for the winter months. We provide shelter for the homeless citizens that can not get into one of the other local shelters. We provided over 65 unique individuals with a place to get a hot shower and a warm bed to sleep in.

We do so much more. The most important thing we do is share the gospel of Jesus Christ to all that come in, so that they can learn of God’s Love for them, the forgiveness of sins through the blood of Jesus, and get saved. We do biblical counseling and offer church services with free meals. All that we do cannot be done without the help of others such as yourselves. So, thank you and God bless you all. We are still in need of funds to get the upstairs of the building done, and the commercial kitchen. Funds needed today to have the building totally completed is $100,000. If you would like to help, you can send donations to our PO box at Trulight Ministries, PO Box 2602, Zanesville, OH 43702. All of your donations are tax deductible. You can also donate from our Facebook page and our website at trulightministries.org. Please do not send donations to 807 Putnam, because we do not have a mailbox.

2018 Was A Successful Year!

trulight people on vanBecause of your contributions, our ministry has been able to support the work of Jesus Christ in our community. In our Breakfast with Billy Feeding Program, we have served 1185 hot breakfasts, and that count is for only 2 months. We started it the last week in November. We average about 1000 hot free breakfasts per month. We expect at least 12,000 hot breakfasts for 2019. We served over 4570 hot meals on Sundays, purchased several tents for the homeless, provided emergency groceries to 12 families, we helped 26 families with rent and utilities. We have provided emergency shelter at local hotels for 3 people. We have provided transportation to doctor’s appointments, job interviews, grocery store and more. Through our Job and Transportation program, we have provided 561 rides to and from their jobs. This program just started in August of 2018. So 2019 stats will probably triple. We have also provided 55 gas cards at $20-$25 each for people to get to their jobs that have their own cars. 611 meals were provided at our weekly Bible studies. We have helped 20 people get their birth certificate and their IDs so they could work. We have provided 6 Greyhound bus tickets to those wanting to get back home, most of them homeless. For 10 people who had job interviews, we went out and bought them new clothes to wear. We did marriage counseling to 4 different couples. We provided 15 people with a day job to earn extra money. We have given away clothing and basic necessities to over 892 people. We ministered to children with over 452 crafts, Bible lessons and snacks. We have helped with medicine, car repairs, furniture, job assistance and Biblical counseling.
